"Thank you! I love taking yoga lessons with you. It is wonderful to have your personalized attention and to know that you take into consideration your clients' limitations and strengths - whether it's pregnancy, balance problems, sports injuries, or post-surgical conditions. I guess we've had them all! It is amazing that in our small class we can sometimes each do a pose differently as you make adjustments for us. You are a wonderful combination of being both supportive, challenging, and fun." - Terry
"I am enjoying Yoga with you far more than I ever expected I would. I have slowly realized that I am feeling better throughout the day, and while I don't know that it is the Yoga, I can't think of anything else I'm doing that is letting me feel this good. I think that you are the perfect teacher - you are kind, thoughtful, helpful, and very sweet. It is a pleasure to have these classes with you." -Phil
"Yoga teaches us to cure what cannot be endured and endure what cannot be cured".
-B.K.S. Iyengar
Yoga, by definition, is not just a physical practice but a group of spiritual practices which orginated in India. Meaning to "yoke" or "to join", the practice of Yoga is one that is meant to guide us toward a greater understanding of the self, as well as strengthen the body and mind.
Jessica completed a 200-hour Iyengar based Yoga Teacher Training with Yandara Yoga Institute in Mexico, and also traveled to India in 2007 to study Ashtanga Yoga with V. Sheshadri. Her classes blend together the Iyengar emphasis on alignment , the powerful sequencing of and breath work found in Ashtanga, and the free flowing form of her own love for Vinyasa Flow.
Jessica is available to sub classes and for private instruction.
